Road Trip to AZ

So, this past week we went to Flagstaff to visit/do some work for Willis and Jeni...(Taylor's brother and sister in-law). We did have a great time with them and now I am kicking myself for not having taken any pictures of them and their adorable family! But I did take pictures of the Grand Canyon and a bit of Skye in the car...
She loved flipping this book over and over...
...and sucking on it.
We also learned that she loved to bite on cardboard. Luckily, we had a Triscuit box that we tore up so she could chew on it. Anything to save her from the pain of teething.

A New Sunday Dress and Skye

It seems that whenever Skye gets a new dress I have to take lots of pictures of her in the cute new dress. Hence, all the pictures in dresses. So, here is another one that she received recently, and I think she looks adorable in it.

This is another classic face of Skye, she seems to always make it when you call her name and she turns to look at you.

She also does this when she can't see you.

This is her in her walker... she is so ready for it, but has not yet figured out the beauty of being able to roll herself around in it.

Of course, more of Skye...

Let's just say, I love her sitting up by herself, and feeding her new foods. It's fun to see her facial reaction to new foods. She is getting better at eating... as in opening her mouth when she is suppose to and actually swallowing her food rather than spitting it back out because she doesn't know how to use her tongue properly. It sure is fun. Her favorite foods so far are squash, sweet potatoes and peas.

Our sitting-up-and-eating-new-foods girl

I love her sitting up! Now she can grab her own toys and entertain herself a bit, plus she looks so darn cute doing it too.

Could you deny that face anything?

Her first food was mashed up peas... yum...?
"What is this stuff? Cause I'm not sure I like it."

Out with the old, in with the new

These shoes have "lasted" about 3 years. The soles are suppose to be straight - as in lined up with the floor. Obviously, they don't do that anymore.

That would also be the sole, if you couldn't recognize it.

This is where my big toe was suppose to be... it ended up making a lot of holes in my socks as you can imagine.

So... my mother had compassion. And as an early birthday present, got me new running shoes. Not only are they not adidas (which was my favorite running brand) but they are PINK. They literally had nothing else, and as you can see from the previous pictures... I was desperate.
So, I guess I am destined to get use to the color pink. I like it... especially on my daughter, just not on me. Oh well, running is most definitely worth it.

A New Hat for Walking

A cute new hat along with some drool... but even with the drool she is still so cute.
That's a birth mark on her elbow not a chocolate stain... :)

Don't you want to squeeze those cheeks? I do.
