Random Sunday Photo Shoots

She still loves her bike and cannot wait to ride it. However, Taylor accidentally ran over it a couple days ago because Skye left it behind the car. Therefore, we may need to get a new bike.

Skye loves this stroller. We got it at a garage sale for 1 buck and it has been well worth the money. She uses it for at least an hour each day or more if we let her. She will put nothing in it, she just has to always being pushing it.
These are classic facial expressions of Skye. A very cute smile, but behind it, there is definitely some mischievous look going on...

Now, before you all think I am a bad mother for actually post this video, I would just like to inform you that Skye had already gone down the slide on her own, exactly like this a couple of times and was laughing up a storm. Of course, when I pull out the camera to film her cuteness she did this. So, I decided to post it anyway, because her "woooo" in the beginning and her laughing as she slides down is still pretty cute.

Skye's "secret language"

We've only got Skye to say a couple of words so far, but she seems pretty content with her own "secret language." She will look at you and nod her head while talking her language or point at something which gives you the impression she knows exactly what she is saying. Unfortunately, if I were to record her just speaking like that she would stop immediately and start grabbing the camera so this is the best I could do.

Skye's new bike

Taylor and I made a trip to D.I. to pick up a "wedding gift" and saw this bike. It was for 7 bucks and we figured it would be worth the money pretty quickly once Skye get's the concept of riding a bike. This is her first try and is getting better each time she tries. Every time we go outside she runs to her bike and attempts to climb on, we push her for a couple minutes then she gets off. We know that pretty soon she'll be flying down the street and we'll be screaming for her to get back on the sidewalk. :)

Other fun activities -

So, as Skye and I were biking one day I noticed a family down the street cleaning out their garage. The next day, this car was in between their garbages... so that night, Taylor and I sneaked down the street and snatched it up. I'm not sure if it's exactly "kosher" in Utah to take other people's garbage as it is in Georgia, but we don't regret it one bit; Skye loves it! (And don't worry, we cleaned it before we used it).

What Skye and I have been doing...

We've baked -

We've gone to the park lots of times-
She loves the slides and the swings, of course.

We've gone on lots of bike rides (this is my old bike, the new one has yet to be documented).

We've played in the rain-

Although Taylor's voice is in this video, Skye and I have played in the many rainstorms that have been happening lately. She loves it! And she's got some pretty good jumping skills which are quite useful when she's in a puddle if you can imagine.

random-ness

Skye's first pig-tails. She still needs some more hair before we continue with this. (And she loves taking Grandpa's pen followed by the "oh" face).
And just two really cute pictures. I love her smiles.

Playin' in the water

Skye loves to play in water. She could be outside in the water all day. Literally.
She also loves to drink the water...
But, above all, she LOVES to play with the hose. And drink that water, because, obviously, it is easier and more fun.
She also really likes to pour it on Mama's toes.
And this part...
terrifies Mama.

The Corn Tortillas Episode

So, last week when I was cleaning the fridge Skye grabbed a bag of corn tortillas and left. I was a little happy about that because she kept getting in and out of the fridge and it was hard to work around her. I found her later.....

note: please ignore my voice, especially the intonation. I very much dislike it when I talk in the video, but at times it is inevitable. I think I picked it up from my Mom. :) (You can turn the volume down, that would be best).

I especially love the bit of tortilla on her face as evidence.

The last part where she puts her hands behind her back - she does that all the time and we love it! She seems to always be observing something and taking note of everything.

Skye's "oh" face

Skye does this all day. Whenever ever anything happens, she looks at you and does this - It's adorable.

Playing on Sunday

This is a good example of how Skye naturally is. She is always running and going somewhere or doing something. She just doesn't like to stop. :)

Wishing it weren't raining...

Some of her favorite toys

... Enough said

Kind of Easter Dress

Thanks Ali for the dress! She looks adorable in it. She was hungry and wouldn't let us take too many pictures before she got upset, hence no smiles. I don't blame her.

Jammin'

This is Skye and her cousin Livia jammin' on the piano. It entertained them for quite some time until I came and ruined all their fun by taking pictures.
