A Little Taste of Skye and Bennett and Our Summer

Skye loves to try on my shoes and pick out a purse to wear. She puts it all on and walks away saying "bye!" I don't know where she gets the purse idea because I use them maybe once every two months or so... if that.
We went to the splash park a lot this summer, which Skye absolutely loved. Look at the face and the form - determined! She is bound to be a track star. :)

Grandma's Ipad, a new found favorite.
Skye loves to love Bennett (most of the time) but sometimes she does it a little too excitedly. :)

Bennett is FULL of smiles all day. Really. All you have to do is look at the boy and he will return the gesture with a full smile like this one, but usually bigger. I LOVE this boy!!
He recently found his foot and plays with it all the time and he looks pretty cute doing it too.
Getting used to "tummy time", hence the lack of smile.
Skye has been riding her bike for at least 4 months, if not more. She loves it and is really good at it too. She is being a little slow/timid in the video, usually she is cruisin' along.

Introducing Bennett Gene Jensen (finally!) and his baby blessing

Bennett Gene was born on April 12, 2011 at 3:11 am,
He weighed 8 lbs 1 oz and was 21 inches long.

Here is our cute little guy who has stolen my heart-

I love this picture! You really do forget how little they are.

Skye loves her baby brother (usually:)) and is always excited to show him off.

Bennett's Baby Blessing Day
Our handsome little man
He is looking like he will be a hand/thumb sucker

I love this picture!
This is the best family photo we could get. It was super bright outside and we weren't posing the best either... but hey, it works right?

Thank you Allyson for taking all these adorable pictures! Give her the credit everyone. :)

Easter and more!

This is the best picture I could get of Skye in her Easter dress. She was not up for taking pictures in the slightest, she just wanted to go outside and play before church, so, that's exactly what she did....
...first her stroller,
then she stole a tricycle from some one else's porch. At least I got to take some more pictures of her in her dress before she got dirt all over it. :) And I still think she looks adorable, even with the orange and yellow accent.
This was a chocolate marshmallow egg from her Easter basket. She just picked off the chocolate.
These are her eggs that she found. I think she thought the eggs were candy too because of the fun colors, she had to break one or two to find out.

This is Skye doing her Easter egg hunt, she loved it and I was sad it didn't last very long. I should have made more eggs. Oh well!

This video is totally random and does not in any way go with the Easter theme, but Skye is super cute when she watches this Sesame Street counting clip. She normally counts and dances a lot more, but this is the best I could get. You can hear her count "one, one, three, four, three" if you listen really closely. She is also pointing at imaginary animals mimicking the person on the video.

Skye's 2nd Birthday - Cake Time!

Skye is trying to blow out her candles - the cake is still a little too far away; she kept wanting to grab the flame. She did end up blowing them out with the cake a lot closer, but I didn't get a picture of that. :( Oh well.
And of course she loved the cake. It is rare to have cake, or sweet things in our house so she really liked it...

... especially the sprinkles and frosting.

Happy Birthday Skye!

Skye's 2nd Birthday - Present Time!

Skye was way more excited than she appears in this picture. She probably was just really anxious to open all her presents.
She caught on really fast and loved opening all her presents. She hardly could wait to do it.
Here's Skye with Grandpa and Grandma Cook with some lego's she got from them.
And Grandpa and Grandma Jensen with some puzzles she got from them.
She has been playing with the puzzles and lego's all weekend. Thanks for all the gifts Grandma and Grandpa Jensen and Cook!

My baby bump...

...or more like my baby bulge. But just in case some of you wanted to see what's in the makin' - here is me at 7 months.

Munchin', Dancin' and Playin'

Skye really likes to have her own apple... not just cut up for her, but to chew it like a grown-up. So, this is her lounging about and munchin' on her apple.

Taylor and Skye on their way to church. I love this picture. Taylor is such a great Dad who plays a lot with Skye because he loves to hear her laugh. And Skye just loves him of course!
Here is Skye dancin' some more. She loves to dance to music all the time and can't help but bust out a few new moves every time. She doesn't really go all out, but she definitely gets into it. And don't ask about the shoes and tights, she was literally so adamant about putting just those on in the morning and nothing could take her mind off it. It makes for a funny video too. :) (Taylor is dancing with her too which helped her focus on what she was doing instead of running up to me to watch more videos on the camera).

Here Taylor and Skye playing with the pillows. She loves this game with daddy. She is normally laughing up a storm, but I guess she is getting good at anticipating when a new pillow will come. I have no idea why she loves to be hit upside the head with pillows, but that's what she loves most - especially when daddy is the one doing it. And the onesie un-tucked is the new looks these days (just laziness on our part after her nap).
